Loredan Gasparini Venegazzu Venegazzu Della Casa I.G.T. Colli Trevigiani Rosso 2008

A historic wine from Loredan Gasparini; this important Bordeaux blend is made from the same grapes and similar composition as the great Capo di Stato, but with slightly higher yields per hectare and 18 months ageing in barrels. Intense and refined aromas on the nose of black cherry, plum, blackcurrant, blueberry, violets and tobacco. The mouth has a good correspondence to the nose; noticeable but rounded tannins, full bodied with intense flavours. An elegant wine with a persistent finish.
