JS: Assertive and ripe melon, pear and peach fruits, some pithy lemon and grapefruit all feature on the nose here, as well as some floral elements. The palate’s crunchy, crisp and assertive with chardonnay having the most to say. Indeed, there’s plenty of lemon citrus, gently sweet pasty notes and a crunchy, dry finish. Drink now.
Spurrier : Fine pale yellow/white gold, persistent tiny bubbles; elegantly floral summer fruits nose with hints of brioche, very attractive; attractive brioche-breadiness on the palate, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier quite evident compared to the 100% Chardonnays, the wine being fruitier and slightly fuller but still elegant, youthful freshness but sufficient maturity to show fine balance, a very nice wine.
