A mineral subtly smoky white with aromas of flint, ash, dried lemon, grilled pineapple, herbs and desiccated coconut. Richly flavourful, yet tightly wound, crisp and vibrant, with a creamy texture. Very long and intense. Lots going on. Drink or hold.
Guardoilvento is the wine dedicated to Dante Albieri (Graphic designer), Maria de Ferraris (Artist), Francesco Antonelli (Navigator and Writer). The name of the wine, which is also the name of the first novel by Francesco Antonelli, represents the image of the vine grown in Alberello which is crossed in all directions by the wind, sometimes gently stroked to give it relief, sometimes lashed by a violent force. But she, the vine, with its roots well anchored to the earth that nourishes it, and clinging to the pole to which man has entrusted it, remains there to watch and listen to that wind, which is also healthiness, is quality.
Guardoilvento expresses the character of the altitude and of the black and stony earth from where it originates. Scented with intense and delicate aromas, with notes of fresh fruit and spices, with a strong body but with gentle, soft and delicate tannins. Easy to drink at the moment, but even more generous if you know how to wait. First vintage produced 2013.
