This wine shows cherry liqueur and blackberry preserves, with more herbal tones of dry rosemary sprig and bramble at the back. The 2017 Aglianico del Vulture Gricos offers a firm, tannic backbone that would cut through rare steak with coarse salt sprinkled over it. The wine opens nicely to blueberry flavors and more forest fruit the longer it stays in the glass. AG : Bright ruby-red. Very perfumed, floral aromas of red berries, licorice and minerals. Fresh raspberry flavors and earth tones show excellent verve and juiciness. Solidly structured and long, this showcases excellent acid-fruit balance. Though ready to drink now, it will last a few more years in a good cellar.
