Superrich nose of plums, berries and toasted oak, with hints of freshly tanned leather. Medium-bodied, with hints of fresh herbs, berries and toasted oak. (Web Only—2003) 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Sangiovese. Dark ruby red. Opens up with pleasant, jammy berry notes and some undergrowth. On the fresh and full palate, eucalyptus, olive paste, some leather, tobacco and spicy flavors. Fresh, fruity, minimally salty and long-lasting finish. 18/20 (93/100)
