Melini Chianti Classico Riserva La Selvanella DOCG 2016

The 2016 vintage, more than any other, brings out the true qualities of the Sangiovese grape. Elegant and subtle aromas, full of notes of Mediterranean maquis, in the company of ideal acidity make for an agreeable and extremely long-lived Chianti Classico Riserva La Selvanella. Bright ruby colour; pervasive, complex nose, with ripe berry fruit and gladiolus to the fore, over hints of violet and balsam. Savoury on the palate, with elegant backdrop of forest floor and lingering notes of toasted almonds. Suitable for long ageing.
