The 2018 Merlot marries the fruitiness of Merlot with pretty floral and savoury Chianti Classico accents that add complexity. Dark blue and purplish berry fruit, lavender, spice, menthol and mocha are boldly sketched. In the glass, the Merlot is dense, explosive and ripe, and yet also impeccable in its balance, especially for such a big wine.
