I Vigneri Etna Rosso Vinupetra DOC 2016

Dark balsamic spices, crushed rocks, plums and shavings of cedar form the 2016 Etna Rosso Vinupetra’s dramatic bouquet. It’s silky and round in feel, yet it gains a grippy edge as ripe black fruits saturate, staining the palate in a coating of minerals and fine tannins. This is youthfully gripping and persistent through the long finale, balanced by residual acids as well as an alluring note of sweet violet candies. All the 2016 needs is a few more years of cellaring to fully express itself.
