The Amarone della Valpolicella di Santi was born in vineyards located in the historic towns of Negrar, Fumane and Marano, in the province of Verona. Only the ripest recie (ears) of the grape clusters are harvested when full ripeness is achieved. It is produced with 75% of Corvina grapes and 25% Rondinella grapes, harvested only by hand during the month of October. A captivating icon of the local territory, Santico perfectly represents the amazing style of Amarone. Dark red hue; concentrated, it opens with an elegant and ethereal bouquet of raisins, cranberries and plum, enriched with pleasant spicy notes of cloves, cocoa and cinnamon. On the palate it is pleasantly full, warm and round. Tangy with a long finish, with notes of red berries and an alluring full flavour. Santico is aged for 30 months in wood barrels of different sizes, origins, and toasting, followed by several months in the bottle.
