Ronco delle Ginestre is a vineyard located in Modigliana, 350 meters above sea level, surrounded by broom and olive trees. The wine of the same name is the historic Sangiovese of the Castelluccio company: a unique clone, selected in the 1970s, with a small and loose bunch. The latter, combined with low yields per hectare, gives a powerful and austere wine. ‘Ronco delle Ginestre’ is bottled unfiltered, hence you will “feel” in the wine, the rugged, generous and wild lands of these vineyards that climb the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines. It has an almost impenetrable ruby color that already makes us understand the high concentration of substances in the wine. The nose is complex and of great impact: hints of tobacco, cocoa, pepper, with prevailing notes of ripe red fruits. On the palate it is savory and endowed with a unique, velvety freshness, with a great and fascinating persistence. A wine to be pampered in the cellar, long-lived thanks to its high freshness and its robust body, over time it will give us even more satisfaction.
